    Hi David,
So far the trial is going well. It’s all about Education and Knowledge now as people are prone to pushing buttons. We all know the more you press it the quicker the lights change. The Technology is working great. Can’t fault the Smart Cross so far.

Are any authorities being asked to consider such technology as Ian posted in the COVID crisis?

No experience of the more recent types but have heard of failure to detect those wearing gloves and have also witnessed false detects from water (in heavy rain). Having said that a quick skim of the product information from a well known manufacturer dated 2013 states “this button is immune to the effects of rain and is fully operable even by pedestrians wearing gloves”

Does anyone have any experience of touch sensitive pushbuttons they wish to share, particularly the more recent types? Thanks
