Hi Dave, I had a bad experience with trialling plastic kerbs, but that was several years ago. The front appeared okay on day 1, but as there was probably too much cut-out behind, the front began to warp inwards between the strengthening struts.
We tend to use plastic-based gullies, and chambers in the footway. Has anyone got broader experience of using plastic kerbing? I’ve used them once (the kerb-drain type), and they haven’t altered in the 5 years they’ve been installed far. I was expecting some element of deterioration, but they haven’t been damaged or faded/peeled – they’re just as they were. Surely a good alternative to the resource intensive pcc type for many locations?
