    Yes, it should face right. That same working drawing shows it facing right on page 2.

    Thanks for that Simon. My next question is should the 622-1A HGV roundel face to the right? I know that would be the case if this was a Directional sign. Does the same rule follow for Informatory signs?

    Hi Joe. I don’t think you use the word “right” at all (or the word “ahead” which implies: on this road). The arrow is all you need to show the restriction is on a side road.
    See the DfT working drawings. This is clearest on p 2 of P818.3, which is now easiest to find on the National Archives website here.

    I need to put up a Diag.818.3/4/5 type sign with the 7.5t 622-1A roundel (Facing right).

    The wording I have in my head is either “Weight limit ahead on right” OR “Weight limit on right ahead”, with a right facing arrow below it and I can’t decide which is the more correct of the two.

    Your thoughts and opinions are appreciated.
