We ALWAYS charge for switching signals off/on with the current charge set by council at 120 pounds a visit (so off/on us 240) and require 7 days notice.
Thus far all contractors are content to pay (although the process for invoicing is a NIGHTMARE! as LA’s are more use to paying out monies than receiving ~ LOL!)
Paul,
I would definitely urge caution over letting people have 900 keys (why do we bother with these now as an industry? when was the last time YOU saw a policeman doing “hand control”)
On a couple of occasions maintenance contractors have turned out to ALL OUTS where contractors have, “illegally” turned out signals.
They DON’t do it in my area NOW!
