Down in Plymouth we probably only have one every couple of months, so we’ve always just popped out and switched them off. Then if we know the company involved we leave the controller flap open so they can switch them back on, with the proviso they phone us when they’ve finished and it is backon (otherwise we go back when they phone).

Occasionally we lend them a 900 key for daytime works.

However, having just mentioned charging to my boss, I suspect it is about to change.

What sort of fee is generally charged?
